Hey there! I’m Christina, a woman trying to live her best life with purpose and intention. I love hanging out with my family, eating food with natural ingredients, spending time in nature, and snuggling in soft, cozy blankets.

A few years ago I started on a journey to find myself. The years before that were spent facing the realization that I needed to start such a journey. So, I’ve been at this for some time. Along the way, I discovered that I thought I was living with intention but didn’t actually understand the concept of it.

Now that I do, I want to share it with any and everyone! There really was never a time when I didn’t think I was living with purpose. At all stages in my life, personally and professionally, I truly felt that I was on a track, a path that I chose and wanted to be on. Until one day – I broke my foot.

And it wasn’t even that day for my mega realization that I wasn’t living what I felt was a purposeful life. It was almost 8 months later when I returned to work after surgery, crutches, and a walking boot had kept me home for so long.

During those 8 months, I started to find myself again. And even then I wasn’t aware of it. I was just enjoying an extended time off from work for the first time in my adult life.

I would wake up in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee on my porch while listening to the chirping of the birds. A good book was always by my side on the couch. My yarn stash was finally being used up while I knit and crocheted the days away. And most importantly, I was enjoying my home. That’s something I had never really done before – my focus was always on working long hours, a long commute, and coddling my exhaustion by the time I finally got home.

Yeah, the broken foot wasn’t great, but being home was. I rolled around my house on my scooter reorganizing it and clearing out things that just took up space. I cleaned, I reworked where things lived in my kitchen cabinets and drawers, and I labeled my baking jars. Silly things, I know, but they meant something to me. And it was the beginning of my living with intention journey.

It was when I returned to work that the joy of such things started to slip away, and I recognized it right away. I wanted time to appreciate the things I love, like my hobbies, time with my husband, cooking up new recipes in the kitchen, and enjoying the sounds of nature. I didn’t want to try to pack all of those things into my few weeks of vacation time each year.

That’s when I decided that I needed a morning routine. I am a huge proponent of having a morning routine. It’s time for you to focus on yourself. And so I started to create it. Mine started with a 20-minute walk around my neighborhood every morning before I went to work. Then it developed into me waking up at 4:00 am to work out, stretch, meditate, spend time on my creative writing and hobbies, and then get ready for work.

Yes, I did all of that before I went to work for the day. And I loved it. Eventually, work itself still found a way to burn me out. Finally, after many years as a general manager in the food retail industry, I decided to upheave my life and leave my hard-worked-for career behind.

I realized that if I truly wanted to live with intention I needed the time to do it. And I needed to go all in. With the support of my amazing husband, I really dove head first into living my life with purpose.

I took a part-time job to smooth the transition financially and started my own small business. And while I have never worked so hard in my life, I wouldn’t change it for anything. It has been so rewarding to push myself in ways I didn’t think I was capable of. And each step of the way I was present and intentional in my thoughts and actions.

I have focused on our physical and emotional space. From organization and minimalism to mindfulness and mindset. It has been an adventure and one that I know will continue for the rest of my life. I can’t imagine ever allowing myself to not be present in my own life again.

I hope you find inspiration on my site to live with intention. Living life with purpose is certainly a beautiful thing, and once you start you won’t want it to be any other way.
